Very impressive metal fabrication shop has been in business for 35 years. Business focuses on structural steel and steel containers. Company will contract to do some steel erection for commercial properties. Company is non-union.
Company has limited its business where delivery is required to a 100 mile radius taking in most of Southern Louisiana and Mississippi. Company will fabricate and ship anywhere. Company has the plant capacity with additional staff to increase production volume 3 to 4 fold. While company has shown significant growth in the last 3 years, seller has been somewhat selective in picking jobs as he is approaching retirement. 2008 looks to be the best ever with over $1 million in contracts in place in just the first 2 months. Company subscribes to a computer database of jobs to be bid on. From this they generate most of their business. They limit their subscription to just Louisiana and Mississippi and pick and choose the jobs they bid on. Seller has been conservative in pricing and feels he could add on 10% to bid prices without affecting volume.
