The company is a long-time established retail music and music school business. All types of band and orchastra instruments are offered for sale. Also, the buisness does a fair amount of sheet music, repairs, lessons, and related merchandise.
The owner is slowing down. Sales have declined in recent years due to no local middle/high school contacts. A buyer could make contacts with schools and probably add $300K to gross sales. It is suggested that a commission "road man" be hired for this purpose.
Also, there is approximately $300K of retail value of instruments offered as inventory and part of the purchase price. An agressive promoter of these items (possibly through eBay) could see a recapture of your investment in short order.

Support / Training provided by seller
The owner will provide reasonable assistance to the buyer. If so desired, the owner will stay on as an instructor at the music school. For all practical purposes, the owner is willing to stay around for another couple years if so desired.

Description of the facilities
The business has been in the same location for years and there is a high-traffic draw to the area by other non-related businesses. The lease expires in 18 months and is assignable.
