Founded in May of 2003 by the current owner, this family practice and urgent care center is dedicated to providing convenient and comprehensive family medical services and urgent care to their almost 11,000 patients of record, currently from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The Company has consistently earned gross revenues over the past two years of approximately $2.5 million. Through June 30, 2006, revenues for the year were $1.23 million (cash basis), though absent extraordinary circumstances, the center was on track to earn over $3.0 million in revenues for 2006.
Operating in a highly attractive approximately 6,000 square foot stand-alone, one and a half story brick facility in a rapidly growing community just outside Charlotte, NC, the center is state-of-the-art, with Laboratory, X-Ray, Ultrasound, DexaScan, Urgent Care and other Diagnostic Equipment, virtually all of which has been purchased in the last two and a half years. The facility was constructed in 1998.
The center uniquely provides extraordinary convenience to its patients, with full laboratory, full ultrasound (including cardiac), and full X-Ray and bone-density scanning capabilities on site, in addition to its standard capabilities of family medicine and minor emergency care. Ambulance services for critical care patients are located three minutes away.
The Company operates with two medical professionals, though with its nine examination rooms, could comfortably accommodate and support four medical doctors. With virtually no advertising, they have consistently drawn 10 to 15 new patients each day, with 5 to 10 new patients daily in the slower summer months. Approximately 35% of the center’s revenues are from Medicare/Medicaid patients, 5% on a cash basis and the balance through private insurance. The Company is an S Corporation with one shareholder.
The land and building the Company operates from are owned by Company's owner and his wife through a separate entity.
