KATHLEEN C. RICHARDSON-MAURO: CFP, CBI, Broker: Kathy was born in Florida, and has lived all over the world. Experienced in many fields including Accounting, Tax, Finance, Commercial Banking, Securities and Real Estate. In 1993, she earned her Certified Financial Planning designation and started her own Financial Planning and Real Estate firm in Fort Collins Colorado. In 1997, she returned to Florida and received her Florida Real Estate Broker license and entered into the Commercial Real Estate market. She was intrigued by the field of Business Brokerage and started her own firm in 1998. Her varied background and abilities coupled with her own small business background gives her a unique ability to see the overall picture of a transaction. Kathy has completed the prestigious Certified Business Intermediary designation and is an active member of the International Business Brokers Association.
JAMES A. MAURO: Business Broker:
Jim Mauro is a native of Long Island, New York. He was raised in an environment of strong family values and hard work. Jim spent most of his career in the manufacturing field, having worked for some of the best companies in the world, such as IBM, Hewlett Packard, Grumman, and Pall Aerospace. After many successful years in the Sheet Metal & Machining field, Jim moved to Florida. In 1989 he started his own company, MicroFab, Inc. in the Tampa bay area and then in 1995 he formed MicroMetals, Inc. in Brooksville. Ultimately Jim founded & built two very successful manufacturing companies. After the sale of his last company, Jim joined forces with Kathy to form Florida's Business Connection. Jim brings more than 28 years of solid business experience to our organization.
