Subscribe to Acquireo's RSS feeds to get businesses for sale feeds by categories
or by states delivered directly to your desktop! RSS feeds keep you updated by giving
you the content you want on businesses for sale in one place. And Acquireo businesses
for sale RSS feeds are free!
What is RSS?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for distributing content.
(XML is the computer language that RSS uses.) A program called an RSS aggregator
periodically checks for updates on the sites you want and gives them to you in a
short, headline format with links to the website containing the full information.
Acquireo.com offers many Business for sale RSS feeds to use in your news readers
and Web logs (blogs). These feeds include businesses for sale by category and by
state that link back to Acquireo.com for the full businesses for sale advertisements.
RSS feeds are free. Acquireo.com currently uses RSS 2.0.
What are the benefits of using RSS?
First, you get to opt-in only to content that interests you, giving you total control
of the flow of information that you receive. By adding RSS feeds from acquireo.com
to your news reader, you can receive automatic alerts on businesses for sale that
interest you by categories (e.g., only restaurants for sale) or by states (e.g.,
only businesses for sale in California).
Second, you get the content delivered to you, instead of you needing to check for
updates. The RSS aggregator automatically checks for and delivers updates to you
in one place; before RSS, you manually had to check your e-mail accounts or even
numerous websites themselves for updates.
How do I access RSS feeds?
You need to use a program called an RSS aggregator. There are two types:
First, you can install a news reader that displays RSS feeds from the web sites
you select, letting you view hundreds of headlines at once. After installing the
news reader, you can add each Business for sale RSS feed manually from the web site
by clicking on the "Subscribe" or the "XML" orange button next to the feed. At Acquireo,
you click on "XML."
Second, you can use a web-based RSS reader, such as My Yahoo!, and view those hundreds
of headlines on a web page customized for your RSS feeds. At Acquireo, we use My
Yahoo! First, set up your My Yahoo! Account. Next, add each feed by clicking on
the "My Yahoo" button next to it.
